Tuesday Challenge

Hello all you Riley fans out there!

Before we start, I would like to say thank you to those of you who participated in our challenge last time! Your support is most appreciated and the Design Team loved seeing your wonderful Riley creations.

The Design Team is ready with another fun challenge which I hope you will enjoy too. This week our hostess is Cindy Haffner, who has a color challenge for us. You need to use the colors: red, brown and caramel when you create your card.

So are you going to play along this week??? All you need to do is to create a card using the above challenge. Once you have created your card/project come back here and place a comment with a link to your card/project to this post so that we can see what you created. If you upload your card/project to SCS don't forget to include the keyword RILEY0310. We can't wait to see what you create!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs today so see what they created for this challenge.

P.S. - I do have to admit - this card was not made by me. Not only is Therese a designer for Riley and Company, but she is a designer for Stamper's, Ink. Yep - you guessed it. She designed this for the store and I borrowed it for this challenge! It's a shaker card made with the amazing Shaker Boxes from Impression Obsession. Cool huh? Thanks T!

Cute Cards to Share

Hello out there in blogger land! I am not sure if people know that I own a retail store too. It's called Stamper's, Ink in Shawnee, KS which is part of Kansas City. Anyway, we have Make and Takes every weekend, and this weekend we just happened to have two Riley cards. So I thought I would share!

This is cute little Ballet Sophie tucked inside a Nesties Heart! So so so cute! Therese Boyd, who is on our Design Team came up with this. For a buck - people get to make this. MEN, because it's Valentines Day, get to make it for free. Fun fun fun! Don't you wish you were here??

And for all those people - like half of America, who is sick, we have a Get Well Card.

Sick Riley - poor guy. Have I mentioned I LOVE this moose? Luv him Luv him Luv him!
I think the bedspread looks like Chennile!

Have a terrific weekend!

Design Team Challenge Day!

Good Morning all you lovely bloggers out there! The Design Team Challenge for today is Monochromatic.

This challenge was taken on by two of us at Riley and Company, Michelle and me!  Ok - it was an excuse to play with Riley - not too difficult of a challenge to take on huh? I love this little guy!  First up - Michelle totally out did herself folks!

Although this cards looks difficult - it's really not! She used a 5 x 7 card base so she could get more, as Michelle calls it, "stuff" on the card! She used Nesties to cut out all the shapes, and Copics to color Riley in. You can't see it very well in the pciture but the hat, the pot of gold and the shamrock are popped up! The pot of gold has Crystal lacquer and gold Stickles! The Shamrock has green Stickles!

Now - for the adorable flower, she used the I-Top to make a brad out of the same cardstock as the base! I love that tool! A little rock Candy on the flower to make it gently sparkle, and some assembly and tah - dah! Adorable card!

Next up are some treats that I made for my kid's Valentine Party! After all, when you own a stamp company you can't very well let your children go to school with store bought Valentines now can you??

Did I do well on the monochromatic theme? Not so much - but hey, pink is a shade of red right? These are sooooo simple! Just cut out a heart or two with Nesties, glue them together and punch a couple holes for the lollipop. Then, stamp and color Riley with Copics (Graham actually helped me color - there were 64 of them!) and attach him with foam dots! Don't forget the "TO, From" on the back!

For the lollipop covers, skip the holes and foam dots! I used glue dots to attach the cover to the Blow Pop.

Yeah..... they are going to have the coolest Valentines in the class! I hope you enjoyed the challenge - make sure you check out the other designers blogs for more fun stuff!

Design Team Challenge!

Hey Everyone!

Have you heard about the new Riley and Company Design Team Challenges we will be having every two weeks? This week will be our second challenge and our challenge hostess is the lovely Patti Stigsell!

Patti has given us all a fun challenge, which is to create a monochromatic card. Cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments should follow the same color scheme, with the exception of white or ivory. The Riley image can be colored as you wish.

Wanna play along this week??? All you need to do is to create a card using the above challenge. Once you have created your card/project come back here and place a comment with a link to your card/project to this post so that we can see what you created. If you upload your card/project to SCS don't forget to include the keyword RILEY0210. We can't wait to see what you create!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs today so see what they created for this challenge. Here is a sneak by Patti....
